The Class
Sensational Baby® is a series of five weekly classes. Classes are taught by a Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM) who has received extensive training from Infant Massage USA®.
Benefits of the Class Setting
There are many helpful books and videos available on infant massage, but these cannot replace the hands-on experience of a class led by a professionally trained educator.
Sensational Baby® classes support parents during this wonderful life-changing experience of becoming a parent.
The class setting provides parents an opportunity to discuss relevant parent topics, ask questions, share experiences and get support from others.
Sensational Baby® classes help parents promote the healthy growth and development of their baby by stimulating sensory, motor, intellectual, language and emotional development.
In each class participants have the opportunity to:
Sit, relax and enjoy their baby in a baby-friendly environment.
Build on strokes learned in previous weeks.
Discuss exciting new parent education topics.
Interact with their baby through nurturing touch which literally wires the brain for success.
Learn infant massage techniques, including pressure, rate, rhythm and length of massage.
Connect with other parents at the same point in life.
Your Instructor
My name is Jessica Christian, I am the owner/founder of Happy Baby Massage Co. & a Sensational Baby® Provider.
I graduated from Texas A&M University in 1995 with a B.S. in Psychology and have lived and worked in the area ever since. I received my Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM) certification through Infant Massage USA to teach infant massage courses to caregivers in 2016 and have over 15 years experience in early childhood intervention.
The role of the CEIM is to facilitate and enhance the loving relationship between infants & parents. Infant massage is an ideal medium, because it naturally encompasses all of the elements of the bonding process including eye to eye contact, warmth, scent, vocalizations, skin-to-skin, responsiveness. CEIMs provide insights into the baby’s body language and responses. They facilitate group discussion and sharing to support new parents and build their confidence.
My goal in providing the Sensational Baby® classes is to help parents become more confident in their parenting abilities.
The recommended age for Baby is from birth to pre-crawling (up to one year of age).
CEIM can only teach classes for parents/caregivers to use on their own babies.
Classes are available in person or can be held virtually, if needed.
Small groups (4-5 parent/baby pairs), preferable.
$125/five-class series
Private/individual classes in your home also available.
$200/five-class series
The course does NOT include the educator touching or massaging your baby during class, strokes will be demonstrated using a doll.
